Why are some of my rewards from a deal marked as “Pending”?

While this doesn’t mean that the transaction is pending, it does mean that your cashback reward is pending. Here’s why: Every Online Deal has a “finalization window” that is set by the merchant providing each deal. This is how long the merchant takes to confirm to us that your purchase is finalized (it also gives them time to account for any potential returns). During this window of time, your cashback points reward will stay pending. You will receive your points once this period has passed.

The finalization window can vary from merchant to merchant depending on their return policy, but it is usually between 0 and 90 days. There are a few special cases with travel purchases such as flights or hotels where the finalization window is based on the travel dates: e.g., “5 days after completion of your trip.”
