What are the income requirements for Instacash?

When you apply for Instacash, we'll securely review your linked checking account to see if you qualify (learn more on qualifying here). Having consistent, recurring income deposits helps you unlock Instacash. Here are examples of income types that might NOT qualify:
  • Random deposits from freelance work
  • Transfers
  • ATM or cash deposits
  • A single paycheck from a new employer
  • Direct deposits that are too low
The exact amount of Instacash you'll unlock is based on a few factors (learn more here).

If you apply and don't meet the direct deposit requirements for Instacash, please try again if your income situation changes. You can also explore our Credit Builder Plus membership, which includes access to Instacash. Or you can set up direct deposits into a MoneyLion bank account, where the same direct deposit amount has more Instacash-unlocking power (vs. when deposited into an external linked bank account).
