How do I update my payment method or add a payment method for Instacash℠ repayments?

Your primary repayment methods for an Instacash advance are: your RoarMoneySM account, if you have one,  the debit card you add at Instacash inception, and the external linked bank account you used to qualify for Instacash advances.

How to view or change your payment method

  1. Open the MoneyLion App and go to the Accounts tab.
  2. Tap the Instacash button at the top.
  3. To add or update the card, tap on the Update card button at the top right corner.
  4. Confirm that the debit card you are about to add:
  • Is associated with a checking account where you maintain sufficient balance to make your Instacash repayments.
  • Is not your MoneyLion Debit Mastercard® or RoarMoney virtual card.
  • Is not a credit card.
  • Has an expiration date that is more than a month away.
  1. Select a card from your wallet or tap "Add a payment method" to add a new card.
  2. Enter the information for the debit card you want to use and hit "Next".
  3. Confirm your billing address for the card being added and hit "Next".

Once the card is added as an authorized payment method, it will be added as a primary payment method for all your future Instacash repayments. If you would like to remove the previous debit card you had on file as a payment method for Instacash advances, see here on how to do so.

You can also add other bank accounts or debit cards as your backup payment method for Instacash advances. We will attempt repayment from these payment methods if your primary payment methods do not have sufficient balance. To do so, you can:

 

  1. Go to your profile from the Home screen of the MoneyLion App.
  2. Select “Wallet”.
  3. Select “Add a payment method.”
  4. Then you can choose whether to add a debit card or a bank account.
