When you transfer money (any amount!) to your MoneyLion Investment account, we'll invest it for you in a personalized portfolio of low-cost Exchange-Traded Funds, which may include equity (stock) and fixed-income (bond) ETFs. And we'll manage and rebalance for zero management fee.
We designed your personalized asset allocation (your portfolio mix) of stock and bond ETFs based on the risk preferences and investment objectives you specified when you opened your account. Now you know why we asked you all those questions!
Overall, our portfolio strategy for all members is to help you achieve growth while minimizing large swings in portfolio value - and while staying in line with your preferences. You can view your investments any time by going to My Portfolio. You can also make adjustments by selecting Edit Allocation and using the Risk Slider to see how changing your risk profile would change your investment mix.
Investing in both stocks and bonds helps diversify your portfolio and cushion against market volatility. Investing in stock ETFs allows you to invest in a single investment that is diversified across different companies, sectors, or geographic regions. Historically, stocks have had higher rates of investment return over longer time frames, but they can also have a higher risk of value fluctuations over shorter time frames.
Investing in bond ETFs gives you exposure to bonds of different companies and the US government. Bonds are lower-risk or more stable investments, but they also have lower expected returns. They’re basically IOUs that governments or companies issue to fund their operations or projects. An example of a bond is U.S. Treasuries issued by the United States Federal Reserve. U.S. Treasures are considered the safest investment available.
The ultimate goal of our portfolios is to help MoneyLion members like you grow your money steadily over time while minimizing large portfolio swings. Let's put your money to work!
