We're happy to assist you with obtaining refunds for purchases made with your MoneyLion Checking account and MoneyLion Visa Debit Cards. Refunds are a simple two-step process:
- Return your item to the original merchant, so it can initiate a refund on your transaction. Merchants have up to 10 days to initiate this refund.
- Once the merchant initiates a refund, the funds are released, and MoneyLion can return the money to your account! This may take 2 to 4 business days, and we'll do our best to get your refunded money to you as quickly as we can!
Fraud dispute refunds:
If you're reporting a fraudulent transaction (more on filing a dispute here), depending on our initial investigation into your fraudulent transaction report, we may issue you an immediate "provisional credit" (refund) on the transaction while we continue to investigate. Provisional credit transfers can only be done in certain circumstances, and they are instantaneous. Once you are notified of provisional credit, it will be in your account. We provide provisional credit in these situations because fraud investigations can take up to 90 days, and we understand that you may have expenses to take care of before we complete our investigation. That said, in instances where the fraud claim is disproven, we will remove that provisional credit from your account. It's important that you not abuse fraud disputes and make sure you are only filing unauthorized transaction claims when you are certain the transaction was not authorized.
